Sincerely, August 21, 2001 When our do-it-yourself bathroom remodeling project met with major problems, we had difficulty finding a construction company willing to take on such a "small" job. That hole where my bathroom used to be was anything but small to me! When I called local companies, they either said they couldn't do the job or else just didn't bother calling me back. Mr. Briddell called me back immediately. Since he was in the area, he came by that same day and gave me an estimate. He explained the work to me in a simple but not condescending way, which I very much appreciated. "This will look beautiful when we're finished," he assured me. Mr. Briddell always returned my phone calls in a timely manner. If he didn't call back that same day, he called me first thing the next morning. When our contract did not arrive in the mail, he brought it by himself. His work was efficient and well done, and he took care to clean up after he finished. When we were missing some parts we had told him we would have there, he cheerfully went out and purchased them. And the plasterer's work was little short of artistic! Sincerely, To Whom It May Concern; On March 6th we called Ron Briddell Construction to assess the cause and damage that was done to our home when we discovered that our carpet had become wet ino ur finished basement. We called Mr. Briddell on the recommendation of a friend whom he had done remodeling work and were very pleased with how quickly he responded in this emergency situation. Within 24 hours they were able to find and stop the water leak at our home and completed the entire job within a few short weeks. The job required major work in that our front porch and sidewalk had to be removed and replaced, and the main water line coming into the house had to be excavated and replaced; not to mention the damage done to drywall and carpeting in the basement interior of our home. The work done by Ron, his employees, and his team of subcontractors was extremely efficient, courteous, tidy, and professional. We were also impressed by his knowledge of working with the insurance adjuster and his patience in allowing that process to take its course. Ron and his sub-contractors recently finished remodeling a bathroom in my 75+year-old home (a job which I knew would require craftsmen skilled in handling the variety of problems unique to homes of that vintage). My experience with Briddell Construction was excellent from start to finish! 1. Ron and everyone involved were prompt, pleasant and hard-working. 2. When necessary, they arrived earlier or stayed later to finish the day's project-including clean-up. 3. The craftsmenship of all the laborers (basic contruction, plasterers, tile-setters, painters) was excellent! 4. All of the workmen were receptive to my ideas and suggestions. They also were able to suggest more creative, workable, ways to develop my ideas and yet avoid costly mistakes for which I may be sorry later. 5. Ron's original estimate was reasonable, considering the cost of quality contruction materials as well as the time of qualified craftsmen. I was pleased to pay what we agreed upon without any surprises. 6. Equally important, everyone at Briddel is of the highest integrity. I left my home numerous times while the project was on-going, either to go to my full-time job or take care of personal business. I had about 435 sq. ft. of unfinished basement that I wanted to have finished to match the rest of the house. Ray Starting a home improvement is a huge undertaking even for the handiest, but finding the "right" contractor is even a harder job. We met Ron Briddell at the home show in Belleville and after talking to him we felt very comfortable that he could do a professional job and stay within our budget. Ron guided us to high quality and low budget supply stores.
